UGANDA

Francis Nyang is our national missionary in Uganda. Since 2002 he has been developing pastors, planting churches and preaching the good news of Jesus Christ in many forums to the people in Northern Uganda. He is now head of a coalition of Ugandan Pastors who have gained a voice speaking on government issues in Uganda’s parliament. Francis is also responsible for the following projects:

School – In 2012 Cheyenne Hills Church tithed its building pledges to build a school in Aloi, Uganda for 542 students. This amazing project has produced a flagship school in war-torn Northern Uganda.

Church Planting – Over 100 churches have been planted through our partnership with New Covenant Christian Center in Uganda. There are now church plants in Sudan, Congo, and Kenya.

Clinics – Partnering with Homes of Living Hope, we have seen four medical clinics placed in Uganda close to the larger church plants. This project has connected the medical field to the mission field in significant ways.

INDIA

William Subash is our national missionary in Bangalore, India.

Subash was an associate professor at Dallas Theological Seminary and in line to take a teaching position when he was called back to his home country.

Leaving two grown children, a successful church plant and great career opportunities in Dallas, Subash and his wife Alice returned to India to start a church plating movement. He is now teaching and advising several seminary students, as well as pastoring a church in Bangalore.

Subash and Cheyenne Hills have a strong vision for reaching India, including:

Church Planting – Crossroads Church is located in Bangalore, India, and has equipped several church planters who have started churches all across India.

Coffee Shops – Still in the dreaming stage, coffee shops that will serve as Bible study venues is one of the ways Crossroads plans to reach their country men for Christ.

TURKEY

Introducing the Tohumcu family, serving in Ankara, Turkey.  Being a Christian in Turkey is not without risk—while the government allows limited religious freedom, Christianity is often viewed with suspicion, and believers are sometimes seen as threats to national unity or agents of Western influence. Despite this, the Tohumcus press on with faith and resilience.

Since relocating to Ankara nearly a year ago, the family has experienced both challenges and God's provision. Their children have adjusted to new schools and made friends, and the family continues to settle into the rhythms of life in the capital. They are thankful for God’s care in the midst of a culture that is not always welcoming to their faith.

Ministry in Ankara is moving forward in powerful ways. Recently, they hosted a two-day Discipleship Leadership Training (DLT) program that deeply impacted the local youth, revealing a hunger for truth and a desire to serve. Resurrection Day was another highlight, with over 300 attendees and more than 100 hearing the Gospel for the first time. One young woman gave her life to Christ that day—a miracle that never grows old for the Tohumcus. Each week, they serve hot soup outside the church, offering both physical nourishment and the warmth of God’s love to their neighborhood. These simple acts of service have sparked meaningful conversations, with people asking where such love comes from. In the wake of many foreign missionaries being expelled from Turkey, the urgency to raise up local leaders has grown stronger. The Tohumcus feel a clear call to invest in the next generation—both in Ankara and beyond. To help foster this vision, they are planning a youth mission trip to Konya to support another local church and cultivate a broader view of ministry. They are also collaborating with other believers to develop teaching materials that will train new leaders for the work ahead. They ask for prayer—specifically for protection over their family, wisdom as they raise their children in a spiritually challenging environment, and for those who have recently heard the Gospel. They also request support for the growth of training programs, the success of the Konya mission trip, and ongoing financial provision. In all things, the Tohumcus remain grateful for those who stand with them in prayer and encouragement as they seek to see God’s kingdom come in Turkey.

UTAH

The Bridge Community is a non-denominational Christian church in South Davis County, UT.  We have a relaxed atmosphere, and a serious focus on Jesus.  As a church, we are creating a place in South Davis County where followers of Jesus can stand together with those dissatisfied with life as they know it apart from the truth of the gospel.  We invite people to come as they are, and to take the next step toward Jesus

Loren’s unique aptitude for sharing Christ with the LDS community fits in perfectly with Cheyenne Hills mission to go “Across the Street and Around the World.”

Since establishing in Centerville in 2013, Bridge Community Church has grown to over 200 in regular weekly attendance.

PRAIRIE HILLS

Ty DesEnfants is a Wyoming Church Planter that launched Prairie Hills Community Church in Lusk, Wyoming in the Fall of 2015. Lusk is the county seat of the least populated county in the least populated state in America. Many would have dismissed Lusk as a potential church plant location because of its sparse population, however, driven by a conviction that Jesus' heart was to leave the 99 to go after the one that was lost, Prairie Hills was launched believing that so long as there was one lost person in the county it was worth going after them.  Now, several years into this church plant, Prairie Hills is a vibrant, growing local church that is making a huge impact in it's community. Beyond this, Ty has a heart to see every nook and cranny in the state of Wyoming experience a fresh expression of the Gospel through church planting. Because of this belief, Ty is helping coach and encourage other Wyoming Church Planters to launch, believing that the spiritual water level of the state of Wyoming rise as the Gospel makes a difference in one community after another.

THE FRONT CHURCH

After delaying our initially planned launch for a year because of COVID-19, The Front held our Grand Opening on Sunday, September 12, and we had 250 people! This is a God-sized miracle for us in Utah, and only God could have done this! On that day, 6 people indicated they were inviting Jesus into their life. Since the summer, we’ve had 20 people indicate they’ve invited Jesus into their life. We trust Jesus with the work of saving, and we know we’re simply planting seeds and asking the him – begging him - for the harvest.

Former Latter-day Saints and Latter-day Saints are coming to The Front. We have a simple prayer we pray for the people who come to The Front on a Sunday morning. “God, may people leave having had an experience with Your Holy Spirit that leaves them thinking, ‘I’ve never experienced anything like that before.’”
